Somewhere Safe

The meaning of home is somewhere you feel way safer than you normally do. It isn’t just a shelter where you have your food, family, or any prized possessions, it's somewhere you feel secure and nice. My place of home would just be a swing. You can see the view, feel the wind and practically fall asleep when you feel the soothing motion. You’re sitting while being caressed, you can glide across the wind, and feel at peace. Swings are just a seat where you can feel a motion that caresses and helps you feel at peace. Just because I find swings at home, doesn’t mean everyone does. Feeling at home doesn’t mean you're at a house as I worded, maybe you’re with friends or outside, at your favorite restaurant, park, or mall. Sometimes, feeling at home can be at your house, maybe you feel safe, secure, and protected. Perhaps, it’s not even a place at all, maybe you feel at home while painting, playing instruments, or doing hobbies. It doesn’t matter where you are, it really just matters what you feel. You should feel relaxed or carefree when you really feel at home. You should feel welcome, at peace, or sometimes you find chaos soothing. Home is where you genuinely just feel something that you normally don’t feel. Where you can just sigh and feel such relief in your mind, where you make all the mistakes you’d want and it wouldn’t ruin anything. It feels special to be at your delighted home, it just feels special. Nothing can really bother you, just the feeling of peaceful silence, music, or loud noises even. Not all people can find something to be their home, but it’s okay, the whole meaning of home is to feel something good in you.
