Home

Home is where you feel your family’s skin against your skin. Home is not just a roof and four walls…it’s more than that. It’s where laughter, fun, and safeness come to life. Home stays with me because nothing is stronger than love. Home brings me everything I need to keep me safe. Home is a place to be yourself. Home reminds me of Mom recording me when I was little, and I would run and laugh. Home brings a smile to my face. Home is playing on my brother’s gaming station when he is not home. Home reminds me of playing cars with my brother and I would always be the race car (the cool car). Home makes me think of mac and cheese on the kitchen counter waiting for me after school. When I walk in the door, no matter what my dog Scarlett is doing she comes to the door and starts wagging her tail and barking. Home makes me think of building downstairs with my popsicle sticks and my glue gun. It makes me feel creative. Home is memories of chips and chunks all around me like pieces of memories I can hold onto. Home is everything I can ask for.
