Home is to Me

Home is a lot of things for a lot of different people, but I'm going to tell you what home means to ME. I'm far from home all the time because my home is not quite a square building with walls. My home is in Mexico far away from here but it's my home because it stays in me. My home is filled with memories, laughter and joy. My home is where I can eat what I like. My home is where I feel safe, cared and loved. My home is where I'm with my cousins where we share laughter and sadness. I know when I'm home because I smell my grandma's perfumes. I know I'm home because I feel happy. I know I'm home because I see my family. I know I'm home because I taste tamales. I know I'm home because I hear laughter. Home is where my memories are. Home is a big part of who I am. Home can be anything anywhere. Even if I'm far from home it is still in my heart. A house is different though. A house is a building with four walls. A house is a non-shared memories. In short, home is a place where memories are stored and where you are happy, and a house is a building with walls. So what does home mean to you?
