House vs Home
House vs Home
Home, home is different from a house, it's special in a way but a house is a bit different.
A house can be defined as a structure, a structure with four walls, a roof and a door. When you open that door it creaks open and in you go. As you look around all you see is a space, a space with no special memories or feelings just a building put together by workers for money.
A home is different, it holds a special place in one's heart and will never leave you. A home isn’t walls or roofs or doors, it's a special place you can go to when your lips are quivering and there’s tears dripping down your face. Home is where you go after you’ve had a long day and it’s not just a place it’s a feeling, a feeling you take with you everywhere. What makes home special is the people. The people will always be there to comfort and take care of you. They have always been there.
You can’t buy a home or build it out of materials. You have to build a home out of memories, experiences and feelings. A good sturdy home is built off of lasting trust and support. You build a home by being there for people when they need it the most, by being supportive, following through with promises and most importantly by showing up.
Finally a home travels with you and you can always find it. That’s the reason a house is different from a home. After reading this I hope you understand that the most important things in life aren’t actually things, they're people, very important people.
