When I Think of Home

When I think of home, I think of all the great memories I made. My family always cares about me and they always try to make me laugh. Whenever I’m with them I feel safe, almost like all my problems are solved. I never have to be afraid to express myself because I know they’ll never judge me. My family is full of many different surprises. My mom’s cooking is another thing I enjoy. She always tries her best to make her meals delicious. Sometimes, she even makes a special meal from the Philippines called sinigang. We love to bake many different types of desserts. When I think of home, I think of my living room. It’s not just a place where I sit, it’s a place where I can feel relaxed and calm. I can draw, read a book, or snuggle with my favourite plushie. I have made many memories since I was a baby. I remember when I had my very first birthday. At first, I didn’t know what was going on but eventually I understood birthdays. I also remember my first day of Kindergarten, I was very scared when I first walked in. Finally, I think of my pet fish. Decorating my fish tank was something I always loved to do. I’m very grateful that I got to experience the happiness of my pet fish. When I think of home it makes me happy. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for building homes so other people can experience happiness too!
