The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home If home was a feeling, it would be the firm birch planks lined up one by one against the walls holding up the heavy ceiling. If home was a taste, it would be the flavor of fresh apple pies fresh from the oven that my mother used to make, heating the depths of the old, rooked house. If home was a smell, it would be the smell of fresh cookies freshly baked from the scolding hot oven. If home was a sound, it would be the sound of buttery popcorn cornels popping inside the heated microwave If home was an emotion, it would be calm candles blowing away the sad feelings and releasing the happy feelings. If home was a memory, it would be the memory of being able to come home to food on the table and a good place to take a graceful sleep.
