The Warmest Cookies

When my grandma and I bake at my home she makes our bodies feel relaxed, she makes the dough from tense to as soft as a baby’s hand. As we gently drop the chocolate chips I can smell her love. It reminds me of the beautiful flowers she grows in her garden. Then as we softly roll the dough into balls on trays we slowly put them into the oven one tray at a time. I can hear the soft sound of the oven ticking, as we start the oven and let them bake for 10 minutes. When we gently take them out we let them sit for around 5 minutes. After a long time of waiting we finally get to enjoy, as she grabs two cookies, one for me and one for her. As I touch the cookie it’s as soft as the warmest cookie on earth. Once I take one bite I can taste the warmness melt into my mouth.
