I Won’t Leave my HOME

This is a story about a girl named Zoey and her accepting that she has to move. Her mom looked at her dad with a look that said ‘you need to say it now’ He gave her the exact same look in response Zoey noticed this look and was about to say something when her mom started talking “Look Zoey we have something we need to tell you-” she inhaled sharply as she paused “we-we,” she inhaled again “we’re mo–,” “We’re moving!” her dad burst out ignoring the look from Joan “I got an offer for a new job and I took it I know we promised and I’m sorry but you’ll like Nova Scotia it's really nice and it’s by the ocean!” he said as if he was just trying to get it out. Zoey was shocked she assumed she was just moving out of her home to a house a house with no memories a house without comfortable furniture and little imperfections like the handle doesn't turn or that one step that creaks as your sneaking upstairs when your supposed to be in bed then Zoey realized something it didn’t matter where they were it was her home that mattered this wasn’t just a house it was a home. With heat in winter, A/C in summer with family and friends in the neighborhood comfy chairs and other furniture, not just a building with four walls and a roof over your head. But a home won’t be forgotten, a house will but sometimes it’s okay to make a new home, it's okay to start fresh on a blank canvas, sometimes that's all you need. Zoey could make a new home but she would never forget her old one.
