What Does Home Mean To Me

My home is a warm, safe, happy, calm, and cozy place. It's not only at home where I feel happy, it's also on family trips like Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Kelowna and lots of other trips like Toronto, LA/Disneyland, Universal, and SeaWorld. Most of my family lives on Vancouver Island so we go there a lot. My favorite thing we do in the winter is we build a super big ramp in our front yard after it snows. We sled off of it with all our friends. It is so fun. We use all the snow in our front yard. We stayed out there all day long. If my home were a sight, it would be my brother rushing to hockey practice, my mom cooking broccolini and homemade kraft dinner, and my dad working downstairs in his metal work shop. If my home were a sound, it would be the cooking in a pan, friends laughing, a puck in the net, my dad working downstairs in the shop. If home were a smell, it would smell like hockey sweat when my brother gets home from practice. My home would smell like a Lit candle, when my mom comes home she lights one. If my home were a taste, it would taste like my dad's famous lasagna, smoked steak, and lettuce wraps. A cold treat after dinner. But my favorite thing that my dad makes is Yummy crepes with fresh-cut strawberries, lemons, whipped cream, and icing sugar. My home is beyond words. I love my home on my cul-de-sac with friends or family. In my home or playing outside, playing hockey on the road or climbing in the tree in our front yard my home is the best. I feel happy when I am home.
