Meaning of Home

My home is in the Comox Valley. Comox is known for its iconic glacier that stands proudly in between the other mountains so you can’t miss it. My home determination, I always try my hardest in school and to be kind to others. My home is Nya, my best friend. Her confidence always makes me feel safe and welcomed. My home is my dog Mokey, his carelessness always makes me laugh. My home is seeing my grandma, going to the pool with her is a tradition that will never be forgotten. My home is going to sewing class, where the more creative you are, the better! My home is school, the place where I am encouraged to push myself, so I become more confident in my learning. My home is my large backyard with trees that are plentiful and have so many branches that always will be in reach to climb. My home is my Just Dance video game that my friend Nya and I continue to race in to get the new high score. My home is the place of consistent renovations and cleaning. My home is banana bread, the taste of my mom’s famous recipe that makes everyone run to the table. My home is my pet frog Cricket, whose personality is always “Feed me!” My home is badminton outside with my dad, where we battle but always end up laughing at the end of the game. My home is my favourite teacher, Miss. Schroeder. Her suggestions our always for my own good. My home is a place of freedom, my room and backyard are spaces where I can just think to myself. This is what home means to me and home is for everyone So, what is home to you?
