My meaning of home

My Meaning Of Home: Home is a hard topic because home is different for everyone. In this essay I will tell you about what home means to me. My “ home” is a house , but as John O’Calligan (a famous singer) said “ Home isn’t really a place. It’s the people who make it what it is. I have a great home”. This may not be original but it is the truth. If I went to my house without my family there it would no longer be my home, just a house. The cheesiest thing is that when I say this all I can think about is the movies I've seen that say this. Only now am I realising how true it is. Home is a special place. Somewhere you feel safe or “ at home”. Whether it's a house, an apartment, or even a person or piece of land. Home is not something I can describe, mainly because I have a home but I feel “ at home” in a lot of places. About 3 years ago My grandmother died. Before she died I would have said her house feels like and is home, not any more. This is just an example of how “ home “ changes all the time. Again whether it means moving houses or someone important to you leaving. My home is my family and all the people I love and that love me, constantly supporting me, helping me and most importantly, making me feel like I belong, making me feel “ at home” . That goes two ways. I need to make them feel the same way, always. This is what “ home” means to me. -Mila
