Home is not a place.

Home is not a place. Home is not a place nor a sight or a thing. Home is not something you can hold or touch but something that you feel. A home is not some boxed up place with a ceiling and some walls but a feeling that you should recall. A home is that warm, safe feeling of joy, hugs and Happiness from the friends and family that surround you. They are like your barrier. They are the ones who keep you safe and healthy. They are the ones who love, care, and appreciate you. The ones who help you feel the warmth of a sweater and the joy of laughter. Home is not a complex thing or a simple concept, but more so a state of mind. These kind, beautiful, amazing people are scattered throughout this journey we call life, and if you stop and take a close enough look, you just might be surprised! Home should be a reflection of what you love and who you love. You see, they say that home is where the heart is. Without a doubt that is true, but home is so much more than that, because home is so, so many things like love, hard work, A DREAM. But the one thing home is not, home is not a place. THANK YOU, HOME HABITAT, For giving children around Canada this chance to participate in this wonderful helping-hand activity! This has been a very exciting journey for me in my writing career!
