Just Right

I never knew what home meant to me. The countless nights I've stayed up trying to figure out what to write in this essay. One night something came to mind. Goldilocks and the Three Little Bears. In my home I'm the youngest, I’m baby bear. I hope as you follow along on this “meaningful journey”, you can play the role of Goldilocks, and see that everything for me and you is perfect. Or as the story would say Just right From my shoes to the spoons, from the roof to my room. I have every Item I could possibly want. But It's not a home. Without, the people. The people that give joy the people that give feeling. Home is a feeling. That just right feeling. The feeling of getting into a freshly made bed knowing it's a Friday. The feeling of laughing so hard that you can feel the six-pack coming in. The first bite of an apple. You are not able to achieve these feelings without another human. People are the ones who carry the just right energy drink for you. Home is the place where happiness resides, where I’ve laughed and I’ve cried. Filled with just enough love, and just enough people. I think now I truly know what home is to me, and maybe even for you. “It turns out that home is not mostly a place. Home is someone putting her arms around you and saying the words your heart longs to hear: always and everywhere.”-Cloud and Wallfish It's not too hard for me to see, and maybe the same thing for you too. But home is not the items, it's the people the warm vivid wrap of love that your heart is being given, home is Ideal, perfect for everyone. Or as the story would say, Just right.
