Home is a Place Where
When I think of home I think of the memories made in the four walls covered with a roof, windows, and a door. When I come through the door to my home I feel the love of my family and my dog.
Every day when I come home from school, I get to see the smile on my mom's face, I feel the kisses and soft fur of my dog, and the aroma of a home-cooked meal.
My home is where my dreams of future happiness get to grow and take shape over time and where I feel supported for my true self.
Home is where I see my parents working hard for me to play sports and have food on the table every day. Home is the place I go to after my big hockey games and where my dad gives me feedback on how I can get better at hockey.
My home is where I hear the words ''BRUSH YOUR TEETH!'' Or when I mess up on something ''It's ok you tried your hardest".
When I think of my home I think of my family that lives there and the traditions we have as a family like On Christmas morning me and my sister wake up super early to see what was left there for us.
My home is the place I go when I feel blue or when I need someone to chat or when I am having a bad day there is always someone there for me.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving this opportunity to children across Canada to be able to help those in need.
