What Home Means to Me
Home is where I feel safe and warm; where I can be myself and be shielded from danger.
Home is my mom’s warm hugs and the smell of the delicious meals that I make with my family. It is the birds that wake me up in the morning with a sweet song, and seeing my happy and loving dog coming to say good morning to me.
Home is where me and my sister cuddle up to watch our favorite show while we eat our grandma’s homemade chocolate chip cookies, which we call “chocolate chippers”. My sister is someone who I can talk to anytime and always has a shoulder to cry on. To me home is like a hug of love.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for providing this opportunity to families who don't just need a house, but need a home.
