Meaning of Home

Hello, today I am talking to you about home and what it means to me. Home can mean lots of things but what it means to me is what makes it so important, like memories, family and friends, my belongings and holidays. Firstly, memories are ancient. I have so many great memories with my family. Like movie nights and board game nights are so fun. I spend lots of time with our dog, Ripley. I remember when we got our dog Ripley. It was so cool we saw his sisters; they were so cute. I have so many memories with my family and my friends at my home. I also have fun memories of trips with family and friends, such as Great Wolf Lodge and Hecla. I have great memories of holiday celebrations, birthday parties, sleepovers, and outdoor fun like sledding in the winter and swimming in the summer! Secondly, my belongings feel like home to me. Some of my favorite belongings are my phone, my book collection, my jewelry, some toys, and other trinkets. My phone feels like home because it has past memories on it, such as photos and messages. My books feel like home because, I have had them for a long time, and I remember reading them with my family. My jewelry feels like home because some of it came from my friends and family. I have a few special toys, one stuffy that I have had for a long time and that I have a lot of good memories with. I also have another special stuffy that I go with my bestie and my aunt, and it reminds me of a fun day. I have this one trinket that I got from my aunt, that got it from Costa Rica, and it is very important to me because I can put special things in it, and it is a puzzle with a hiding spot. It feels like home because I got it when I was little and I have a lot of memories with it. Thirdly, holidays feel like home to me. Holidays make me feel happy and safe, like at home. We rent a cabin out at Falcon Lake for two weeks of the summer break. We have rented the same cabin for 8 years. Holidays make me feel at home because I am with my whole family: grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. We make it feel homing by having arts and crafts to do on a rainy day. My grandpa always takes his speaker, and we listen to old music, which brings back memories. We take a lot of our things from home, such as stuffies, books and blankets. We always have so much fun there, and it always hard to leave at the end of two weeks. In conclusion, today I told you what home means to me. I told you about some of my memories that I have with my family and friends, what I do with my family in the summer and why that is important to me. I have told you about why some of my belongings feel like home to me, and I have told you how much my family and friends mean to me. I hope that now you know how good you have it, and that you know a house is a thing, a home is a feeling.
