Meaning of Home
Home is a place we love and cherished spending time with your family, getting hugged by your elders. Home is where you play in the backyard, playing soccer with your dad. We are grateful to have a home that is safe and warm. A place you are grateful to have. When I think of home I think of cozy time on the couch. Reading stories in bed, going skating together without a doubt. Singing songs in the kitchen, playing cards on the table, cleaning up to pitch in, cradling your new baby cousins in your hands. Having sister sleepovers, giggling all through the night. Home is a place where you find fresh cookies baked with love from mom. When your friends are over you are creating a show with songs and dances before they have to go. Pictures on the wall of you when you were young, doing cartwheels in the living room, so much fun. Writing homework on the counter, watching TV on the couch. Going to Costco and eating dinner. Hugging your parents at night. Waking up to your dad’s stompy steps. Eating cereal like Cheerios and Rice Krispies, eating berries before going to bed. This is what home means to me. No matter where you are, home is where your family is.
