There's No Place Like Home

There’s no place like home, where the sun brings warmth to the ground below. Where the crisp red and yellow leaves fall from the sky with grace outside my window, colouring the ground beneath me with warm and bright colors. There’s no place like home, where the birds sing sweet songs beyond my house. They have a joyful and soothing tone. The sound gives comfort to all who hear it. There’s no place like home, where memories of good times are remembered and where more memories are made. There’s no place like home, where we put out our boots for saint Nicholas day and where we gather around the Christmas tree in that magical winter season. There’s no place like home, where the three things I hear are my mom playing the piano beautifully, hearing the warm fire snap and pop in the fireplace and hearing my family say, “I love you.” There’s no place like home, where the family bonds are strengthened and the room fills with my dads savory smoked chicken . It's not a mansion or a palace, but it's a safe and comfy home.
