And This Is Home

A place where I can be welcomed A place where My parents are home when I return from school A place where my mom sometimes raises her voice at me A place where we apologize A place where I am loved And this is called home A place where I am happy A place where I smell the delicious food A place where I hear my family say “I love you” to each other A place where you feel safe A place where I taste the food my parents made for me And this is called home This place could be your classmates This place can be your family This place can be friends and all It can be anything And this is called home A place where I sometimes have to see bad things happen A place where I could experience what life is about A place where I can always return And this is where my loved ones are together, This is called ‘home’ Thank You habitat for humanity for helping those in need and helping them have a warm place called ‘home’.
