What home means to me!

Home can be many things. From pictures on your wall to the warm, cozy meal that your parents have made especially for you. All the way to sitting on the sofa on cold nights curled up with a warm blanket. For me home is like a great big warm hug from a family member. It's like making your favorite dish! You need all the right ingredients to make it delicious. But without some of the ingredients your dish won’t taste as good! A home is not built by bricks or wood but by the love and encouraging words from your family members. From celebrations to special meals shared with your family, Home is a place where your culture and celebrations glow like the sun . Home is where I can feel safe, secure and a sense of belonging. Home is a place where I can enjoy little time with my family and share delightful moments together. To the sound of my mom typing on her computer right back to the taste of my mom’s bread fresh out of the oven the sents, sounds and texture all fill me up with joy. All my worries melt away as I sit at the table eating a nice warm dish . All the complaints are switched with laughter and no worries ever leave my mouth. The most magical thing about home is that sometimes life’s adventures take you away but you always can/t wait to come back home! I want to thank Habitat for humanity for all the wonderful houses that they have built for families more unfortunate than me and for helping others turn their houses into homes. That is what home means to me!
