What Is A Home? A poem by Moriyah Stewart A place that you live A place that you grow A place that you take your first steps Where you face the unknown Even if you move It's not about what's around you It's about who is around you A place where you are your safe A place that you are happy Where you feel good Where you feel joy Where you can be YOU A place you love Not every home is this way But they should be When you live you should be safe Feel important And a house is that So when you ask me what is a home There isn't just one answer There is unlimited But if you feel safe You feel loved That is your home Every home is complex Some are great Some are not A place you love is your home Because you make do Because you try And one day when YOU grow up You'll Have one of your own A home can be a town A city A country But a true home is your house Where YOU live Because everyone needs a home
