Home To Me...
Home – the place where you can go… the place where you get loved. It’s where your family is and where you grow up. It’s not just a feeling… you’re connected to it. You and Home - it’s synonymous. Home = memories. Sometimes you move and sometimes you must leave your house, but not your home, not your memories.
My home is in Ukraine. I grew up there. It’s where there are some of my special things, but now… my home is here… in Winnipeg, Canada.
Sometimes you have special toys or clothing, or even a pet (like a dog or something else). I have a special toy. This is almost 10 years with me. This toy looks like a sheep, her name is Cloudy. And she has purple bow on her neck. Cloudy has been with me my whole life, regardless of where my house has been located. So… I believe that a house is just a building, and home is your “everything”.
Home for me is where my family is. I love my family. Home without family is nothing.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity, for giving this opportunity to children across Canada to be able to help those in need.
