What is Home?

Home can mean a lot of different things to different people but to me, home is where I can relax by listening to music through my speaker and having books to read. Home is where I am with my family, playing in the snow or even just watching a movie in the evening. Home is where I can play board games like Checkers, or just have time to myself. Home is where I can love and be loved. Home is when I am eating butter chicken and rice with my dad at the wooden table. I love hearing the cozy heater start up in the living room corner, while sitting on the comfy couch with my fluffy blanket and cat with me. In the morning I can smell the familiar scent of my dad's coffee being brewed. I can hear the beautiful sound of chickadees and bubbling water outside my window from the river. I can feel the weight of my cat on top of me along with endless blankets. I can see the bright sunlight through my white and gray lace curtains. I can taste my minty toothpaste from the night before. Home is so much more than just a house. I love my home.
