What Home Means to Me
When I enter my home from school, I could smell dinner being
made by my mom and eating in a hurry sometimes to get to
basketball while my dad is working in the basement.
I could see my basketball net outside as I was tempted to go
outside when I was eating dinner and talking to my brothers as
my mom was on her phone.
I could hear my brothers talking as my dad came upstairs and
started talking to my mom and I am most of the time talking to
my brothers as it sounds like a crowd talking constantly and
almost as if my bed is calling my name when it is super late.
I could feel peace as I had dinner with my family at the table
and had the same conversation planning what to do next and
getting ready to go to bed because we must wake up early to
do something exciting.
I could taste the hunger of myself as I want to have dinner with
my family and as I wolf down all my dinner and sometimes
want more to eat after my family is full and have some cereal to
eat before I go to bed.
By the end of the meaning of home competition I hope that the
homeless all across Canada will find a shelter given by The
Habitat for Humanity to give them a home to enjoy and a family
to build up their house, a place to go to sleep and have dreams
big and small, to be loved and cared no matter what, and most
importantly a place to call home. Thank you for doing th
