What Home Means To M

A house is somewhere you go to sleep, eat and rest. But a home is a place you can go and take the pressure off your shoulders, release the stress and be yourself, maybe even escape reality. For me, home is a place I feel like if anything happens, my family can help me and get me back on my feet. A house is built for people to live in, a home is built with respect and trust. built by love, not concrete. Having a house is great, but having a home with people you love is more important than anything else, more important than having money and fame, more important than anything else. When you first hear the word home, what do you think of, About having a nice big house, or having a warm home with people you love? When a house keeps your body warm, a home keeps your heart warm, with all the love you share with the people, and the love that they share with you. Having fun and seeing the smiles on your family’s face is just making me be more grateful for having a home to keep me and my family safe. Things like this shouldn’t be taken for granted, people should be happy to have a loving family that doesn’t judge you for your appearance, or the content or your character. Having a home where you feel comfortable and safe, is not luck, It's love. I hope that people who need a place to call home are going to find that place, because living in a house is just having a place to live in, but having a home is a safe place. My message for habitat for humanity is, thank you for making sure that people have a place to call home, and making sure their home is safe and secure.
