The Meaning of Home ...

To me, the meaning of home is wherever I’m horse riding. When I am around my horses I feel at home because I feel safe, happy, and confident in the ring. To be able to have that connection with a horse means a lot to me. I always want to try my best with every horse. I guess a horse is like my emotional support animal. Whenever I am feeling any difficult emotions horses are there with me through everything. If I am mad they will feel it too; it is like they understand me. I have been horse riding for two years now and to be able to have a connection with every horse I ride makes me feel special. My mom used to ride horses when she was little; having her tell me everything I need to know makes me feel lucky. Right now I am taking riding lessons and the horse I ride most often is the most understanding horse you could ride. She is never pushy at first and will almost always do what I tell her, but she also makes me try too because I am an experienced rider so it is not like she is a beginner horse. The meaning of home to me is where I feel safe and I feel like I can be myself. That is in the riding ring with one of my best friends. My home is in the riding ring where bad things happen, but good things happen more often. You can never tell; it is always a surprise, but I wouldn't change it for the world. The meaning of home to me will always be around animals or people who get me and I feel safe around. This is currently with my horse.
