The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home House: I have many homes Wear I am literally never alone Like my house for instance With a quiet that is nonexistent The room I love and treasure And the walls my dad has measured This is not the house I grew up in But it is the house my heart is buried within Neighborhood: I guess I take for granted my good fortune The neighborhood where nothing ever is stolen We all share our toys with care We knock at the doors of our neighbors to see who is here The screams of delight in the quiet of the night Home is here, home is not near, nor far, it is wherever you are. Old house: I have left all of my friends We promised we would be together until the end The old bus I used to take to school My old friends were like a jewel Even though I have let it go I miss the cold weather and the snow Home is where my heart will stay at least for another day.
