What Home Means to Me.

Maya Angelou once said, “home is the starting place of love”. Home is also the place where you can live in a comfort zone and a place where you can feel protected by your family. Home is like a warm blanket that is always inviting and welcoming. A good home is a place where you can take away all your stress and feel relieved when you enter. No home should ever feel like you are overstressed or unwelcomed, it should feel like you are in a good story and making memories with your family. If Home was described in one word it would be cozy or relieved. A home is more than a place it is a feeling of happiness and joy that you can share with the ones you love the most. A home is where you should feel like everything is in the past and you are now starting forward. The best thing about being at home is that you can be yourself and don't have to act like a whole new person. Home is about the love and joy you give it not what you put into it. A home is a magical place just like a fairytale. It doesn't matter how much someone can want to leave home, “Home will always be the starting place of love”, where all of your memories are kept in a safe place. Home requires an emotional connection and sense of belonging, not physical things. Every new home you have is just like creating a new album of memories that are following you from place to place that is why home is so important and memorable. To me, home is more than just some walls, windows, and a roof over my head it is an environment that greets me when I walk through the door. What I love most about my home is who I share it with because “There is nothing more important than a safe and secured home”. Home is where I was raised most of my life. Through the past few years, I have laughed, cried, smiled, and learned. Home is where I become strong, intelligent, and confident in myself. Home is the place where I grow up and never want to leave. To me, home is a place where I can be myself and act like myself. No matter where I go in life I will always remember the people and connections that I had in my home. A home is built with a family but has no intentions of family life. Home is made with experiences that only you and your loved ones have seen. It doesn't matter what is in a home, the only thing that matters is the connections that you have made over the years.
