My Home
A house is where I live,
And is also where I sleep.
But a home is where my family is,
And where I feel I'm safe.
A house will always be there,
Sitting on my street.
But my home will always be here,
Deep inside my heart.
A house is a building,
Built with concrete and bricks.
And sometimes I'll need help putting them together.
But a home can be anything that reminds me every day that I belong.
And for that,
All i need is my family,
And my heart.
I know that not everyone can have a house like mine,
But I hope everyone can have a home like mine.
Because you might not belong in your community,
your house or your town,
But everyone always belongs in their home.
Not everybody can have a house by choice,
But everyone can have a home by choice.
