What Home Means To Me!
Home is a feeling. The feeling of being in the backyard playing in the pool with my siblings on a hot summer day. It can also be the feeling of sitting on the carpet praying for the sleigh to come on Christmas Eve night. Where I can go in the front yard and my dad tries to teach me how to snowboard on the tiny hill.
Home, it can be going out to the garage and smelling the fresh cut grass. It makes me feel safe, and comfortable when I sit at the dinner table every night and have long conversations with my family.
I feel sad when I think that lots of families don't have nice caring families like mine. When I am in the car driving around and I see people sitting on the road asking people for food and money to buy for their children.
I feel happy when my dad tells me he's picking me up to drive 5 hours away to go to the cottage to see my family and friends. I can go tubing with my cousins. Well, my dad whips us around on the boat at the lake. It also makes me happy when we wake up at six in the morning to go for a morning fish on the boat with my grandma.
It makes me feel safe when I'm doing things I enjoy. Like watching the sunset on the beach alone with my dogs.
I am so grateful to have a nice cozy home just for me and my family to stay and feel safe! Where I can sit with my dogs and talk without being judged. I feel supported, happy, and grateful!
