House vs. Home

This is my house. It has heating, light and tomorrow we will get internet. This is my home. It has the people I love like my mom, dad and sister. I hear the sound of the blender every morning while my mom is making me pancakes. This is my house, my room has a bed and a wooden table for all my school supplies and extra pieces of paper. This is my home, my room is my personal space. I have beautiful white walls covered with old memories from past experiences. I am comfortable in my house because of its protection from the outside world and its ability to keep me warm. I am comfortable in my home because of its warmth and happiness and the amazing spirit of the people I share it with. My house has bent grass and a metal swing set with two slides. My home has beautiful green grass with a swing set my daddy built for me and slides my uncle Sammy made while he came to visit for my birthday. My house is where I live and protects me from danger outside. My home is where I am comfortable, where I can make memories and enjoy time with the people I love. My house was constructed with wood and cement, but my home was built with love and trust. I love my home.
