Home is a Right

Home is the place where you live, it doesn’t need to be a house, it can be an apartment, shed or even the streets. When people think of a home, I doubt they think of much, but when I think of it, I know it is a privilege. Everyone deserves a roof over their head and to feel safe and comfortable. I moved here 5 years ago from Toronto, Ontario. I was really worried about moving away from my home that I knew and loved. I stayed in a rented out condo for 3 years until I moved into my new house. A year later, my home felt special; I knew where everything was and felt safe and secure. My home is on a calm and small street where I know all my neighbors personally. If home were a sight, it would be the beautiful sunset on the ocean. If home were a smell, it would be smelling your grandma's fresh baked cookies. If home were a sound, it would be the warm breeze on a summer day. If home were a feeling, it would be the best feeling you ever had.
