My family, My Home

When I think of home I think of my family and friends, feeling safe, happy, and loved. But not everyone feels that way. Some people have a house but not a home. There are some people who even live in tents. I think those people should have a house or an apartment, something other than a tent so they can feel safe. That's why I'm entering in the Hope for Humanity contest because every time someone enters money is donated to people in need. When I think of home I think of my family. I have a mom and a dad and two sisters. I also have a dog named Willow. Sometimes at night my dog comes in and lays with me and that makes me feel happy and safe. When I get home from school or basketball practice my dog comes running to me and makes me happy. I like watching movies with my family. I also like visiting my grandparents in Cape Breton. In the winter when we go to Cape Breton during March Break, we go skiing at Ben Eoin. I like skiing at Ben Eoin because I like the fast runs on the hill. I love the view of the Bras D'or lakes. In the summer my grandparents have a party sometimes. It's really fun because my cousins come to the party and my moms family comes. I like playing with my cousins there. My other grandparents live in Halifax. They also live really close to me. When we visit them we normally have supper with them. My sisters and I go on walks with my grandmother sometimes. In conclusion spending time with my family and going to Cape Breton visiting my grandparents means home. I love my dog Willow and I'm so lucky to have a great family.
