My Home

My home is not just walls and a roof, it's where my family grew together and made memories. It’s where I feel at home Home for me is late on a Friday night. When I’m all cozied up in blankets with my family watching a movie. I can smell buttery popcorn in the microwave and I can hear it popping. Then when I eat it my hands get all greasy and the popcorn melts in my mouth. That's when I feel at home. Home for me is after a long day at school I come home and I can smell supper cooking on the stove. Then when I sit down, me and my family share what we did throughout the day. When I taste the food a warm feeling fills me up inside. That’s when I feel at home. Home for me is when I lay down to go to sleep and my parents kiss me goodnight. Then i cuddle with all my blankets and stuffy’s. I always fall right to sleep because I feel safe, loved, cozy and warm. That’s when I feel at home. I can't imagine my life without my home. So I hope that my essay will help Habitat For Humanity to give this feeling to another family. I hope another family can feel safe, loved, cozy and warm.
