A Home is a Special Place

To start, most people in Canada are worried about when their next meal is or the next time they can shower. And we should do something about that. Homeless people have their lives so hard, even people with a home who are struggling to pay rent or buy groceries, especially parents. It's so sad how many people don't have a roof over their heads or a family to say good morning and goodnight to. Imagine, they don't get to wake up and make breakfast or sit by a warm fire on cold nights, that's how it is for them. Also, there are about 235,000 Canadians that are homeless. Every minute the homeless number increases due to lack of employment and parents kicking out their children, and this can happen to not only teens but children too. Another reason is addiction and mental health, addiction causes stress, and losing everyone and everything you love. To wrap it all up, let me put you in their minds for a minute. Think about how they won't be able to make memories, go to school or college, experience their kids going to college, etc. and they have to spend their lives struggling to pay bills. Homeless means not being able to wake up in the morning to say hi to their family and put on fresh clothes to make breakfast before school. Homelessness is not being able to change their bed sheets and dress up for a family reunion, they might not know how it is to have a house, a family, and go to school. Homeless people deserve better.
