What Home Means to Me

Home. Home is a place where I have lived my whole life. Home is home where I go when there are no more options. My whole life I have been living in this same room where too many nights I have cried myself to sleep. Home is where all my friends are now. I feel safe around them when I feel insecure. They are my home. Now, I ponder my future home and I imagine what it will be like. It will be a home of silence. I choose silence because it gives me time to think and see what is happening around me. Sometimes my mind is my home. I can live in my mind because it is a safe and quiet place.
