What Home Means to Me

Have you ever thought about what your home means to you? I’m going to tell you what I think about my house. I feel safe in my home, that's where personal stuff happens and I’m going to explain the stuff I like about my home. I’m going to explain more in the paragraphs down below. I hope you feel differently about what a home is after reading. I feel safe in my home, not just because I have a safe community and locked doors. It’s also because I'm in safe hands. I can trust anyone in my family and loved ones in my house. I know my family wouldn’t judge me if I fart in my own house. They trust me, and I trust them. The only people I can trust are close friends and family. In my home, I do personal things. I can tell personal things to my family, loved ones and friends! You wouldn’t, I mean, shouldn’t see my laughing in a store saying things that are personal to me. I NOW, wouldn’t share something that someone told me. I learned about gossiping and rumors in grade five. I used to tell people things I heard. Also you wouldn’t hear me telling everyone my family’s secrets and stuff like that. I love the respect I get from my family. Sometimes I don’t show respect for them but that’s a different story. I like my home because I don’t really need to do any work when I’m done with school. I just run up stairs and hop on the computer. Sometimes I go outside and stuff like that. I like when it’s christmas eve night and I am thinking what am I going to get in the morning. Also about spending time with people I love. My family and I like computers so I can go on scratch and make some garbage. I don’t delete my projects. Wait, I’m swerving. I think about my home as a place where I can comfortably sleep or do something fun. The most comfortable place I sleep in is my home. Another thing I think of my home is where I wake up in the morning and come to every afternoon, only if it’s a school day. I like school but not as much as my home. And I like Christmas the best of all of them, because not only are you in your house, but you have family to have fun with. Also you have presents from the warmth of your parents and only one from a stranger. My home is the perfect place to celebrate Christmas! I enjoy the roof of my home over my head, I like the feeling of my doors being locked and my family being there. I love things I can do in my home, I don’t have to hide anything from my parents. I enjoy how nice my home is. I hope everyone is able to recognize the importance of the people they share their home with.
