What does home feel like?

If I were to ask someone to draw home, they would probably draw a mom, dad, and 2 kids. Home is nothing like that to me. People say a home has walls with a roof. Don’t get me wrong, a home is walls with a roof, but I am talking about how home feels like to me. You may ask “what is home?” Home can be many different things. Home can be when you are at your favorite place such as a baseball field, hockey rink, or even at a park. Home to other people may be when they are with their pets, or when they do their favorite activity. Home to me is when I am around my family, friends, or pets. When I am around them I feel very comfortable and at home. As I said, home can be many different things to people, but that is what home feels like to me. Home is a place where I can be myself and express my feelings. Home is where I can make silly jokes and my family can laugh at them. Home is a place where I can sing and dance all I want and no one will judge me, well my sister may judge me but she always does. Even though sisters can be rude and annoying, I still love her. Anyways, home is my safe place where I can be myself. I am very thankful that I have a place where I can be myself. When I am around my friends and family I feel very much at home. You may ask why I feel very much at home when I am around them. I feel very much at home with them because they make me feel safe by protecting me if I don’t feel safe. They are the people I am very close to, and they are always there for me and I am always there for them. I can tell them my problems and trust them with whatever I tell them. They are my safe place. Whenever I am with them I feel at home. I am very thankful that I have people that I can talk to, and people that will listen to me! Home is where I feel safe, other people say they feel safe at home because they have security cameras or locks on their doors and windows. When I say home is where I feel safe I mean home is my safe place because I have a lot of people who make me feel safe and love me, protect me, and take care of me when I need them the most. Home is my safe place because of the people in it! I am very glad that I have them to comfort me when I don’t feel safe, or comfortable. My family and friends make me feel loved by comforting me, when I'm having feelings. They also make me feel loved by doing the things I love, for example I love to cuddle up on the couch and watch movies with my family and friends, or even go for a walk! They make me feel loved by supporting me and helping me with stuff I need help with, maybe like homework. I am very thankful that I have lots of people who love me, make me feel comforted, safe, and loved. I am going to tell you what quotes about home I find are very strong and nice to me. The first one is “Home is not a place...It's a feeling.” I find that quote is very strong because it is very true to me. Home is a place, but home is a feeling too. Home is a feeling like when I am around my family and friends I feel at home. The second quote I find strong is “What I love most about home is who I share it with.” I find that quote very strong because it is also very true. I think it is true because I share my home with my family that I love very much. I am very thankful for them because they take care of me and help me with anything I need help with.
