The Seasons of My Hme
In winter,
I hear the sound of the fireplace, crackling by the sofa.
I see the snow gently falling outside my window.
I taste my mug of hot chocolate, marshmallows melting on my tongue.
In spring,
I smell the fresh dahlias, bright orange in my garden
I have my black dance outfit laying on my soft bed.
I eat a chocolate bunny, easter aromas floating around my house.
In summer,
I feel the newly cut grass, my sister exploding into giggles
I love reading outside with my mom, warm breeze hitting our faces.
I sip on a glass of ice-cold lemonade, fresh from the local farmer's market.
In fall,
I am proud to eat maple syrup, made by Canadiens just like me.
I walk my dog down the leaf-covered streets, blue jays singing
lovely tunes like a private concert.
I listen for the sound of the school bell, starting the school year
I love my home throughout the seasons,
I love habitat for humanity for giving others a place to call home.
Thank you, Habitat for Humanity!
