Have you ever wondered what home feels like to other people? For me, sometimes, home looks as messy as a public bathroom at a camping site, and at other times, it is as clean as a party room before a party. Home feels cozy and warm, because the walls block the cold air from getting to me. Home is like a warm hug that makes me feel safe. It fills me up with memories as I walk along the halls. Home smells like fresh clothes coming out of the dryer, but when my mom is cooking, it smells like fragrant Pancit and Adobo from my Filipino homeland. On most days, home sounds as noisy as the mall, because the TV is always on, and our talkative family gathers to celebrate milestones big and small, saying words and phrases in Ilocano and Tagalog that I don’t understand. Though when the TV isn’t on, it sounds as quiet as a cemetery. Home is the most beautiful place to me. I am writing this so someone else can have a home, too!
