Home to Me

Home to me is family, friends and pets. It’s yummy food and annoying siblings. Your home should be comfy and warm. Good mornings, and sometimes even bad mornings. It should be as warm as a fire. I think home is love and safety. Hot showers and rushing to school is part of home to me. I think home should always be as sweet as sugar. It's my dog, Kevin, whining when he wants you to throw his ball. One of my “home things” is poutine. I love poutine. Home is as cozy as your favorite blanket. My home is my mom, my dad and surprisingly my brother. It’s also my three best friends. Some people think home has to be a building, but most of the time it's not. Of course homes CAN be restaurants, stores and buildings, but also parks and beaches. Home can even be stuffed animals, or old blankets. However far it is, it is still special. Personally, home is not always a house. The house you live in could be the farthest away from home. I don't think it’s cockroaches in your basement, or mosquitos everywhere outside. This place or object could be as happy as a golden retriever. It doesn't have to be a dead yard, or a swamp green pool, but it can be. Home isn’t something you despise. To some people, home is school, or even a corner store close by. About ANYTHING can be your home. Home to people should be like Shrek with his swamp, like a princess and her castle, like a leprechaun with his gold. What’s your home?
