My Home

Eight thirty I wake up and realize I overslept, the rush then leaves no time for fun. We hear the school bell ring and run! After school, my brother turns on the T.V and watches Crafty or Guido and Steve. As I start my homework my mom starts to cook. After a while I start to smile because I smell my favorite food. Steamy and nice, that salty delight that is called adobo and rice. Then I eat with delight, the most delicious sight and enjoy it fully. As I brush my teeth and get ready for bed, I sing the song that got stuck in my head. And then the cycle gets going again. I don’t know how it feels for people who do not have a home and that is the meaning of my poem. Thank Habitat for Humanity for giving them one.
