Home. The word “home” has a variety of meanings, from the unmistakable sound of dinner sizzling on the stove as my family awaits a brand new delicious dinner,or the comfort of coming back home coming after school.I could not fathom not having a place to come back to after a tiring day at school or work. It pains me to know that some people cannot afford or find even just a small apartment where you could at least have some privacy and protection from the cold, especially at this time of year. If I did not have a roof over my head,the sound of laughter and togetherness echoing through my home during gatherings, or the reassurance that nothing bad would happen behind locked doors it would feel terrible, I feel like it would be so much harder to enjoy life. For the less fortunate people who don’t have that comfort I wish to help out my community as much as I can, especially with inflation and the price of houses rising. I hope that lots of people enter this contest even if it only helps a little for some, for others it could go a long way. Thank you for reading my letter, Isaiah.
