If Home Were The 5 Senses

If home were a sight. It would be the sight of my family and I watching Survivor together in the living room with buttery popcorn! Yum! If home were a sound. It would be the sound of my dog, Kona, barking at the other dog on the opposite side of the valley. Then us having to bribe her back inside with a cookie. If home were a taste. It would be the taste of steaming rice, tasty chicken, and green peas during dinner at my grandma's house, where we usually have dinner on Sundays. If home were a smell. It would be the smell of my van. Even though it smells like my wet dog Kona, it reminds me of all the adventures my mom takes my family and I on, like when she took us to Tofino or Kelowna. If home were a touch, it would be the touch of my snug blanket and cozy sheets. It would be my mom & dad coming to kiss me goodnight. Home is not a place, it's a feeling where you can feel safe, protected, cherished, and loved.
