A Home is not Just a House

A home is not just a house Not just a building, not just a place It’s your place It’s where you feel safe, where you feel loved It’s a place filled with joy Filled with hope, comfort and warmth And where all are welcome My home is surrounded by the forest I smell salt on the air I feel the fresh green grass beneath my feet I see the animals around me Scuttling on the ground or jumping through the trees My home belongs to all One and all deserve a home Not just some Everyone wants and needs a place They can call their own And that is why I write this poem Because with luck, This will help someone find their home
