A Home Is a Home Is a Home

A house is just a building, standing up straight Whereas a home is a place that you can’t rate Your home is your home, it is permanent And a house is a thing that was built with random equipment Your home holds a special place in your heart And homes feel warm and cozy Houses, you pass them every day And they mean nothing, no joy no glee It is important for everybody to have a home Because a home is your safe place And if you don’t have a home It’s like your phone not having a phone case, there’s something missing Your life is not complete without a home And if you have one you don’t stand alone I can not imagine being doomed Not seeing your home flower bloom Town, city, province, country, or continent Your home is never filled with resent Your home is your happy place, your safe place, and your roots So embrace it, and place it in the middle of your heart Memories are made there So cherish them well Because those are the memories that you will always remember And keep your memories safe and sound at least until September Home is your home is your home So keep it safe in your heart For it has taught me empathy, compassion and concern For those who don’t have homes
