Home
For me home isn't a building, an alleyway, or even my favorite restaurant, it's a feeling of happiness, having loved ones, and making memories. To me no matter what happens I will always have home with me.
Happiness to me means watching a family movie together and we are snuggled in one big blanket or when me and my sister finally win a video game that we have been trying to win for ages. Happiness doesn’t have to be something at home. I love going to my cottage in Nova Scotia and playing in the ocean. That is what makes me very happy.
What loved ones mean to me. My family is the best family I could ever get, they are kind, loyal, brave, and amazing. My mom is very gentle and nice to all of us. My dad is very awesome and very cool, he sometimes gets out of hand but we all do sometimes, he makes the best jokes though. Gabrielle, my sister is so kind and brave to do things with me even if she doesn’t want to. That is what loved ones mean to me.
Memories to me are when I went to Panorama and Lake Louise in the Rocky Mountains and when I first jumped into my pool at my new house even though it was around 64f. Memories sometimes can be sad, like when my dog passed away and that is a memory that will always hit me in tears, or when my best friends moved away it was so sad to see them go. That’s what memories mean to me.
All of this is what makes me feel like I’m home, they all connect together and home will always be in my heart, and I think if everyone pitches in to Habitats for Humanity we can make homes for so many people.
