Cleaning Home

When somebody says the words ‘’home” I always think of cleaning; cleaning my home is refreshing, and always makes me happy. I love smelling air freshener, soap, and laundry detergent. I love the look of a shiny, new space to work in, and I love decluttering my space so I can stretch with delight. The kitchen Cleaning my kitchen is always a challenge, but with a little effort, it can go a long way. I like to take everything off the counters first, then give them a good scrub with hot, soapy water. Then, I sort through all the junk that gets piled up in the room: paper, books, pots, pans, forks, knives, spoons, masks, rapid-tests, etc. Next, I take trash to the bin, any paper we don’t need to the recycling box, dump the dirty dishes in the sink, and put the pots, pans, and cutting boards in the cupboards. Afterwards, I clean the dishes, and admire my work. The living room I have two living rooms in my house, a family room which my brother and I rarely go in, and our ‘’TV room” which is a warzone of clutter, random plates, and lots and lots of paper. We have all kinds of paper; my Dad’s work paper, my mom’s work paper, my brother’s drawings, my piles and piles of bookmarks, construction paper, toilet paper, kleenex, and random scrap paper. So after hours of paper-sorting all there really is nothing left to do; just fold some blankets and straighten pillows. The bathroom Our bathroom doesn't get dirty often, but when it does, my mom and I make sure it sparkles after we are done. She takes on the toilet while I scrub the mirrors and pick up all the hairbrushes, elastics and tooth floss.
