What Is a Home?

As I walk in the front door I smell the sweet smell of cookies. As my mom walks over to the front door to tell me and my siblings that she made cookies, and that we may have one. As I slowly walk over to the kitchen counter and pick up a warm cookie and start my homework I think about how everyone needs a home… Home is warm with happiness and love. Home is full of family and all of the above. Home is just as lovely as a dove. Home is where I am loved. Home is full of adventure and fun. Home is where I can run in the sun. Home is where I go when the day is done. Home is where I like to be… Home is where I am meant to be. Now my cookie is done and my poem too. I hope that this is enough to get a family, a home and a happy place. As my friend once said, a house is a roof over your head but a home is so much more. What does home mean to you?
