Finding Home
Finding Home
Travelled and flew, through rain and hail,
Following an invisible trail,
Country to country, town to town,
To find a place to call their own.
The one place that called to them,
That one in a million little gem,
Found the spot to settle and sleep,
The right place, the right house to keep.
Across the globe, many more were being built,
For without a home you just might wilt,
Maybe you’ll feel like a tiny mouse,
Or perhaps you don’t always need a house.
You learned to walk and learned to talk,
Stumbled and played and cried like a hawk,
May your house be in ruins and parts,
Your home will always be in your heart.
